Biggest Weakness Due to the sheer power of its disc, the team are unsure if it will truly work until they begin their first battle. They fear the robot may tear itself apart.

Supernova has come back this series with a new 22 kilogram spinning disc, running at 2,500 revolutions per minute, made from one piece of hardened steel.  Supernova now has fully hardened steel armour which is four times stronger than last series, but with very little traction Supernova is left open to being pushed around the arena by competitors.

What makes Supernova unique...

Last series the team were one of the favourites but the uncontrollable energy of the disc dragged them into the pit in their opening battle but they were able to leave their mark on the competition. They are a family team whom have been building together for the last 19 years, and have taken part in every Robot Wars series since the second series in 1998. They have also represented Sri Lanka in the World Championships. Supernova has the potential to be one of the deadliest spinners in the competition. The team are confident they have improved Supernova, and are better prepared this time around.
