Biggest Weakness Flippers could be an issue and could throw Aftershock out of the arena, Aftershock has no self-righting mechanism and Matilda’s spinner could be a threat.

Aftershock is a brand-new robot from the team who got to last year’s final Shockwave. The power of their weapon is close to that of Matilda’s spinning blade and the angled armour will deflect heavy spinners like Carbide. The vertical spinner works differently to a horizontal one as the force applied to opponents doesn’t apply the same strength to their own robot – the arena floor takes the impact, rather than catapulting both robots to the side.

What makes Aftershock unique...

Aftershock has evolved through ten years of design trial and error. Will has created versions of the design for all other robot fighting weights. The team reached the series one final with Shockwave, only to be defeated by Carbide – but they were never immobilised.
