Biggest Weakness The team are most afraid of spinners, which they say can damage Chompalot’s crushing jaw.

Designed to look like a dragon, Chompalot has a hydraulically-powered crushing mouth, made from S355 strcutural steel. It has three tonnes of force. It’s protected by layers of bullet-proof, polycarbonate plates (the same material that the arena walls are made of,) and has piercing LED eyes. Chompalot moves on ten-inch go-kart wheels, and, if flipped over, it can use its wings to self-right and return to battle.

What makes Chompalot unique...

Simon and Debs met in a 'sci-fi' chatroom where their mutual passion for Robot Wars brought them together. Simon invited Debs to join his team by sending her one of Chompalot’s nuts in the post. Chompalot once towed a car, has opened a can of beans, and is capable of biting bricks in half.
