Biggest Weakness The team are worried that as their robot is relatively short - standing at 26cm high - it may be vulnerable to an axe or hammer attack.

A fully invertible robot with two composite vertical blade angle grinder spinners, which can cut through steel and concrete. Sweeney Todd is the only robot in the competition to use Mecanum Wheels. The Mecanum Wheel is a conventional wheel with a series of rollers attached to its circumference, which means it can move in every direction, rather than just backwards and forwards. This model of wheel makes the robot highly manoeuvrable. Electric wheelchairs have adopted Mecanum Wheels to provide maximum motion ability for their users.

What makes Sweeney Todd unique...

This is the first attempt that anyone on this team has made at building a fighting robot. The team say they have had plenty of experience in building robots for other applications, such as autonomous hovercrafts and test rover bots, in their jobs as engineers, and so wanted to try out building a fighting robot too.
