Magnetar is an upgraded and potentially competition winning version of Pulsar, the team’s previous robot. Magnetar’s spinning drum has a top speed of 250mph and is capable of causing major destruction to its opponents as well as launching them into the air with the sheer kinetic energy it creates.

What makes Magnetar unique...

Team captain Ellis left school at the age of 15, disillusioned with education, he rekindled his love of learning through watching old videos of Robot Wars on YouTube. He and his parents see Robot Wars as his education, and he hopes to prove he is one of the best engineers in the country with Magnetar.
